Business Education and Innovatia 2019-20

A workshop on ‘Business Education and Innovatia 2019-20’ was organized by Department of Commerce and EDP Cell, Govinda Dasa College on 20-12-2019 at 10:00am in AV Hall GDC.

            Students of Govinda Dasa Pre-University College, being the main feeding institution were invited as an audience for the programme. Sri M Venkat Rao, Secretary, HV Sanga ®, Surathkal was the inaugurator of the programme. Prof. Y V Rathnakara Rao, Director – Administrator, Govinda Dasa Pre-University Surathkal was the chief guest and Smt Lakshmi P, Principal, Govinda Dasa Pre-University College; Surathkal was the guest of Honor.

            Ms Bhavyashree of II Bcom (A) had mastered the ceremony. Prayer was rendered by the students of final Bcom (A) and (B) and Ms Shreelakshmi of II Bcom (A) introduced the guest. Prof. Rathnakar Rao, Director – Administration Govinda Dasa Pre-University College along with Dr K Shivashankar Bhat, Principal of Govinda Dasa College inaugurated ‘Innovatia 2019-20’.

Smt Lakshmi P addressed the students with her knowledge on business education. She explained the students how important it is to keep ourselves updated with the current scenario, being commerce students it’s very important to scan the environment around us and develop our skills according to the requirements of the current business environment. She also highlighted the importance of education in the current era and we can utilize our knowledge to develop the society by being an entrepreneur and providing job opportunities to the society.

            Dr. K Shivashankar Bhat, Principal, Govinda Dasa College, proposed his Presidential remarks. Sri Ramesh Kulai, Director – Administrator, Govinda Dasa College, Mr. Ganesh Acharya, Dean Department of Commerce, Mrs. Shilpa Rani K, co-ordinator, Commerce Association and other commerce department staffs were presented for the programme. Ms Pavithra Naik JK of III Bcom (A) proposed the vote of thanks.

The workshop was extended by Innovatia, an exhibition by students of the new products which was designed and created by them as a part of their assignment or projects.

Thus, such workshop helps the students to acquire knowledge as well as helps them to build management skills too. The credit of the successful programme belongs to the students, who worked day and night for the programme.

Around six colleges of nearby institute along with their staffs had come to witness the exhibition and to acquire knowledge on entrepreneurship. This programme also acted as an outreach programme. The colleges that attended Innovatia are:

  4. Government Pre – University College, Katipalla

All the invited students and staffs were happy with the organizing and the talents of our students.
