The Post Graduate department of Commerce celebrated Freshers’ day on 13 January 2021. The programme commenced with a prayer song by Akshatha and group. The Director of PG Dept. Dr. Herbert Nazareth made introductory remarks and explained the relevance of M.Com Programme and facilities offered in the department. Mr Sajan M. Acharya, Placement Officer, MSNIM Bondel, Mangalore, was the Guest of Honour. In his speech, Mr. Acharya pointed out the need of employability skills in the present day context. The Chief Guest, Dr. Shivashankar Bhat, the former Principal of GDC Surathkal, congratulated all the freshers and stressed upon the need of higher education in the current scenario. The Principal Prof. Krishnamoorthy spoke on this occasion and wished all success to all the students. The Administrative Director Prof. Ramesh Kulai presided over the programme and narrated the growth process and significant achievements of the department.
Monisha of 2nd M.Com welcomed the gathering. Supreetha of 2nd M.Com proposed the vote of thanks. Neethu of 2nd M.Com compered the programme.
After the formal function cultural activities were conducted.
45 students of final M.Com and 14 students of previous M.Com batch participated in the Freshers’ Day Celebration.
