Placement Cell

The Placement Cell at GDC works towards guiding and providing students with job opportunities and relevant training.

The students are guided in taking up jobs through various means like campus job fairs, campus recruitment, recruitment drives etc. Quite often, our students are directed to participate in job fairs held in the colleges of the region. Besides, the data base of our old students is shared with companies as and when we receive information about their man-power requirements.

A good number of science graduates of our institution have found placements in the native companies such as MCF, MRPL, HPCL etc. As a gesture of good faith, these companies notify us on priority basis whenever a vacancy opens up, for our students to benefit from.

The following are a few of the past activities:

1. We had introduced IAS/KAS coaching program in association with M/s Sarvajna Academy Mangalore in june 2017. The training program held with an enrollment rate of 20 students per year

2. M/s Tata Consultancy Services had conducted a training program exclusively to SC/ST students of the region at Vijaya college Mulki during the year 2016 three of our students who have undergone the training have been absorbed into TCS on successful completion of said training

3. Training program for facing the Banking/Competitive exams in association with T.I..M.E. Mangalore was being offered to the interested students. The students strength varied between 50-60 per batch.
