Recognising the need for professional managers in the rapidly evolving global business environment, the college established the Department of Management Studies to impart high quality formal education in management science through a comprehensive 3-year regular full-time bachelor’s degree programme. Highly rated and acknowledged in the industry, this program is an excellent opportunity for young minds to build a strong future. The programme assists the student in understanding and developing the unique leadership qualities required for successfully managing business functions, an organizational unit or an enterprise.A BBA degree improves employability quotient and provides a boost to the students’ career. In addition to learning the theoretical concepts, it emphasises the importance of hands-on training and exposure to different functional areas of administration. This course prepares students for extraction by companies and tackles critical situations as well.We have designed this programme to meet the ever-changing dynamics of the business environment.  Eligibility for Admission

Any candidate who has passed the Pre-University Examinations conducted by Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other 10+2 examinations considered as an equivalent by Mangalore University in Science, Commerce or Arts disciplines is eligible for admission to this programme.

Career Opportunities:

  • The candidates can join as executive trainee/management trainee in any of the following sectors like Advertising agencies, banking, finance, consultancy, IT companies, and Consumer durable companies and so on.
  • The candidates can do master degree courses like M.B.A., M. Com., M.C.A.
  • The candidates can also do some professional courses like ICWAI, CA, CS, etc.
  • The BBA graduates can get jobs in different sectors like human resources, accounting, finance, information systems, real estate entrepreneurship, etc. and the choice is endless.
  • If the candidates are interested in getting into government services, they can take up UPSC examinations like civil service examination, National Defence Academy examination, etc.

So, there is a wide range of opportunities left to the candidates after completing the BBA degree course and they can either opt for job or higher studies or even both by doing part- time jobs or by taking up correspondence courses.

  • Apart from these, the student is required to study general papers as per university guidelines. These papers include: Indian Constitution & Human Right, Gender Equity
  • The student is also required to opt for one co-curricular or extra-curricular activity for which, marks shall be awarded in each of the first four semesters. The student may opt one among the following Co-Curricular Activities: National Service Scheme (N.S.S.), N.C.C., Fine Arts, Sports & Games, Human Rights, Consumer Education, Rovers & Rangers, Tailoring and Embroidery.
