Students Achievements  during the academic year 2022-2023:

  • Mr. Pradyumna Rao and Mr. Sagar of II BCA won first prize in INCOGNITO (Technical Surprise) event during Composite 2023 organized by St. Aloysius College, Mangalore
  • Varun Kanchan or 3rd BBA has been awarded with best performing Youth Redcross volunteer award of Mangalore University on 12th January 2023 in townhall.
  • Moksha N Amin of 1BCA has been selected for All India Inter University Yoga Competition which is held at KIIT Bhubneshwar University Odisha from 26/12/22 to 29/12/22.
  • Thrishul  one Gold medal and  Shravan  two gold medal won the prizes in Open to All Competition held at Udupi on 4th and 5th November 2022.
  • Thrishul Silver Medal,Ajay Kumar Silver and Bronze medal,shravan bronze medal,swasthik bronze medal,pranay bronze medal ,shamitha 2 bronze medal,pooja bronze medal, neha 2 bronze medal won the prizes in Mangalore University Inter Collegiate Karate Competition held at Bhandrakars college,Kundapur on 20th Dec 2022.
  • Hitha Umesh ,NSS Volunteer have been honoured with outstanding Delegate Award at National Youth Conference-2022.
  • Bravo to Govinda Dasa Cultural team , who represented Mangalore university in 36th South East Zonal Level held at Gulbarga University from 27th -31st January, 2023 and bagged 1st Place in Folk Orchestra , 2nd in Overall Theatre, 4th in Installation & 4th place in Mime.  Folk Orchestra team is selected for National Level Youth festival , which will be Held in Jain University , Bangalore from 23rd-28th February , 2023.
  • Ms.Chaithra and Jyothishree Jain (M.Sc 1st Year,Chemistry) won second prize in the event Artspire(Collage making competition)during the National Level Intercollegiate fest ‘Varchas-2023’ organized by the Dept.of Industrial Chemistry,Mangalore University held on 22nd Februry 2023.

Students Achievements  during the academic year 2021-2022:

  • In Canara Fest Ronney and  Ganesh of IIIrd BCA won  -Ist Prize in  Photography/Videography event, Balaraj of IIIBCA secured Ist Prize in coding, Vajreshwari of IIIBSc won  IInd Prize in Physics event held on 6th June 2022.
  • Students of BCA, Sampath L K, Kaushik, Ajith, R Ronney Dharshan, Sagar, Participated in “Intercollegiate Mega Fest”  held at Aloysius College, Mangalore and won Second Prize in Gaming Event held on 06-05-2022.
  • Ms. Rashmi J Anchan(3 BCom) has been awarded with Best NSS volunteer(2020-2021) State award by the Ministry of Sports and youth Affairs Karnataka Government on September 10, 2022.

Students Achievements  during the academic year 2020-2021:

  • Miss Ananya Jeevan Ullal IIIBCA ,Got selected for the National Youth Parliament to be held at Delhi .She will be be one among two speakers to represent Karnataka.
  • Ms. Rashmi J Anchan, II BCom Representing  Karnataka state , in National Republic Day parade organized by Ministry of youth affairs and Sports, New Delhi to be held from January 01, 2021 to  January 31, 2021 .
  • Ms.Ananya Rao of IIB.Com for representing Mangalore university in state level NSS camp to be held at Kalburgi from 7/01/2021 to 12/01/2021.
  • An inter-collegiate Carol singing competition was held by the Indian Christian Church Community Trust, Haleyangadi on 19th December 2020 at 9 am in Indian Yoga Mandhir, Haleyangadi. Our GDC singing team participated in the same and bagged the 1st place.
  • Ms .Shivani and Ms.Neetu Nair of 2nd M.Com Bagged First prize in the Inter – Collegiate Competition on “START -UP INDIA” at SDM law College,Mangalore
  • Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), in association with Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), had organised ‘MRPL – MSNIM Vigilance Awareness Competitions 2020’ in the month of October with the theme ‘Vigilant India: Prosperous India’. On this occasion various online competitions were held. Our students participated in the E-quiz Competition. Ms. Veena Shetty of 1st B.Sc bagged the 1st place and Mr. Rakshith of 1st B.Sc won a consolation prize in the same.
  • Ms. Ananya J Ullal of 3rd BCA bagged 1st place in ‘Vaagmi 2021’ – A inter- collegiate kannada Elocution competition . 114 competitors had participated in the same.
  • Ms.Pradeeptha.R.Jain of final B.Sc-2021 has cracked IIT JAM a national-level science entrance exam and got selected to do M.Sc at IIT Guwahatti(Assam).
  • Ms.Neetu of 2nd M.Com has bagged 3rd prize of ₹5000/- in general public category of Essay writing competition organised by Karnataka science & technology academy.
  • Ms.Muttamma of 3rd BCA has bagged 2nd prize worth Rs. 7500/- at the state level Kannada Eassy Competition organised by Karnataka Science &Technology Academy, Govt of Karnataka during the year 2020-21.
  • Ms.Megha of 1st B.Com and Ms.Smrithi of 1st B.Com got cleared in CA foundation Exam.
  • Alumni Ms. Krithi Rao, Volunteer of NSS 2018-19 has received the Best Volunteer State award on 12 October 2021  in Bangalore, by State Ministry of Affairs and Sports, Department of Youth Affairs for the year 2018-2019.
  • Ms. Bindiya Shetty 3rd B.Com, NSS Volunteer, Of the College has been awarded by the State Ministry of Affairs and Sports, Department of Youth Affairs for the year 2018-2019, as Best NSS Volunteer -2019-2020, on 12 October 2021, held at Bangalore, by Government of  Karnataka.
  • Ms.Shivani(IV Sem M.Com),has cleared KSET Exam conducted in August 2021.

Students Achievements  during the academic year 2018-2019:

  • Miss Ananya of 1st BCA was honoured for her performance as MC with a Personal Appreciation Letter by the Joint Director, Dept. of Collegiate Education, Mangalore at  the Independence Day cultural events 2018  hosted jointly with The Kannada Sahithya Parishat at town hall, Mangalore.
  • Our teachers too are no way lag behind the students in their artistic talent. This fact was established beyond doubt in the Inter-Collegiate Teachers’ Talent Competition  organized by Rotary Mangalore, Seaside on 25.08.2018 at Lourdes High School, Bejai. The Faculty of GDC  bagged Overall Runners up Trophy & 2nd Prize in Skit in the contest.
  • Our Folk Orchestra Team has won the  1st place in the  University level cultural proficiency  competition and  were Selected to participate in the  34th Inter-University South Zone Youth Festival ‘PADMOTSAV 2018-19’, hosted by the Association Of Indian Universities between 7th and 12th Sept 2018  at Visvavidyalayam ,Thripathi
  • Deputy Commissioner DK Dist sponsored final round of Karavali Yuva Utsav 2018 was staged at  Kadri Park, Mangalore, on 27th  & 28 Dec.2018. GovindaDasa College, Fine Arts team virtually proved to be invincible in all the competitive events, i.e., Bharathanatyam(Solo) -1st Place,Solo Western Dance -2nd Place, Solo Instruments Percussion-3rd Place , Solo Mono Acting -1st Place ,Fashion Show  ,Speech (Debate)-2nd Place ,Western group Dance – 2nd Place , Group Dance (Folk)- 1st Place , Yakshagana (Duet) -1st Place ,Bharathanatya (group)- 3rd Place ,Mime- 1st Place ,Group Song (Light Music)-3rd Place, -Skit -2nd place .GovindaDasa College emerged as the Best College  of Karavali (Karavaliathyuthama college)  Shashank – 3rd B.com and & Ms.BindyaShetty – 1st B.Com were crowned as  the Best Solo male and  Female Performers respectively.
  • For First the time in the history of GovindaDasa College, an Inter- Collegiate Yakshagana (Thenkuthitu) Competition ‘YAKSHA YANA -2019’ was hosted  by Govinda Dasa College in association with PTA, of the college on 5th & 6th Jan 2019 at Rangamandira, . In all,  seven colleges affiliated to Mangalore University  participated in the contest.
  • Our troupe won first place in folk dance, Best MC,mad ads,the best team and Mr Astitiva  and 3rd place in best variety in the cultural extravaganza ‘Astithva -2019(Kala Krithi)  organized by St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru on 8th & 9th Feb 2019.
  • Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has been organizing the South Asian University Youth Festival (SAUFEST) since 2006, & this year .i.e., 12th SAUFEST-2019, was organised by Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from Feb 22nd to Feb 26th, 2019. Many South Asian countries were invited and had participated in the same. For the first time in  ever,  Mangalore University, was represented by Govinda Dasa College and earned accolades for  being adjudged to be the Ist winners amidst tough competition. It was certainly a momentous occasion  for GOVINDA DASA COLLEGE FINE ARTS FOLK DANCE TEAM (Pooja Kunitha).
